Day 0: Amsterdam To Stockholm

Dad collected me from school at 12:00 and we took an Uber directly to the airport.

Tot ziens Nederland. Tot over 5 weken!!

We are staying in Gamla Stan, which is Stockholm's old town and contains many of its old historical buildings including the royal palace. Many of the buildings are large and phenomenally beautiful.

Our hotel is Castle House Inn, it's clean and comfortable but the room is tiny as you can see.

We had dinner at the "Restaurant Tradition". The food was top notch. We both had steak and a cheese platter with blackcurrant jam to start. And Yes Sweden is wicked expensive.

The Grand hotel is just one of an awesome array of architectural wonders in Stockholm.

While wandering we came across a festival for Thai culture. The smells of the food were magnificent. The music was loud and cheesy, but the people were loving it and really getting in to it. It was really nice to experience. Who knew Stockholm had so many Thai expats.

After this we crashed into our skinny beds. Alex fell out of his at about 04:00 and Ian slept terribly as always.
